Narlai is a quaint village nestled in the lap of the Aravali mountain range at the Pali district of Rajasthan, in northwestern India. Located halfway between Jodhpur and Udaipur, lush forests line the road to Narlai, which offers the perfectly laid-back setting from where to explore neighboring Ranakpur and Kumbhalgarh Fort. The village boasts centuries of history - built in the 15th century, Narlai has beautifully preserved its cultural traditions amid a rustic, rural backdrop. Walk through meandering lanes where enterprising village folk proudly call out from shops laden with articles of everyday use. Women clad in colorful saris walk these streets, as do cows, street dogs and other cattle of Narlai, often seeking shade by the corner teashop. With welcoming smiles and traditional Rajasthani hospitality on offer, you’ll feel right at home! A towering hill with a white monolith statue of an elephant is the highlight of Narlai, as is an erstwhile hunting lodge turned heritage hotel.
