Anita enjoys bringing countries to life when planning unique experiences for her guests. Born to a helicopter pilot, she has spent most of her life traveling and living in various distinct countries such as Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, England….and the USA which she now calls home. Being of Bolivian/Sri Lankan heritage, Anita thrives on global diversity and speaks English, Spanish and some Italian. This has helped her with her travels all over the world.
Anita has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of New Mexico and over 28 years of experience in the hospitality industry. At Enchanting travels, she leverages her professional experience along with her multicultural background to help her guests experience trips of a lifetime.
Apart from travel, Anita is passionate about books — she can get lost in one for hours. She also enjoys music, and plays the guitar and the piano.
MOST ENCHANTING TRAVEL
When I was a child, my father arranged a helicopter ride to Kathmandu, and after a tour of the city, we took the chopper to a bed-and-breakfast near the Tibetan border. The next day, we flew to a hotel high up in the mountains with a spectacular view of Mount Everest. I knew then that this was a special vacation, but in the years that have passed by, I have come to appreciate even more the Kathmandu trip and other such rare experiences I had as a child. They have made me who I am and help me with what I do today.
When you travel, be open to what each day brings. The outcome of your day might be a lot different from what you planned but travel was never meant to be a perfect science.
