With a pilot as a father and multiple relatives working in the travel industry, Emily’s admiration and curiosity of the world around her began from day one. Specifically, her grandmother, Rachell, planned large family trips with all 40 relatives to various North American destinations like Alaska, Panama, Dominican Republic, and Mexico.

Since catching the travel bug, Emily knew she needed to work in a global setting, and studied International Business and Spanish at university in Denver, Colorado. Her own travels took her to living and studying in Spain, traveling through western Europe, Ecuador and Peru, and most recently, a series of multi-month backpacking adventures in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.

When she’s not traveling, Emily finds peace in the Colorado Rocky Mountains all times of the year, whether it’s skiing, hiking, backpacking, or taking nature photos. She is passionate about loving the place she resides, where nature and community are easily accessible. Visiting family back in Kansas City and northwest Washington are important domestic travel plans throughout the year, and ideally getting those relatives to join her on international adventures.

MOST ENCHANTING TRAVEL

Why travel during the shoulder season? Less crowds often mean the wildlife are more active and that held true on Chiloe Island, in southern Chile. My fiance and I rented a car and drove into Parque Tepuhueico hoping to spot the rare and reclusive pudu, which is the world’s smallest deer. We saw 4 pudus, up close. Maybe I cried, and it was truly the most enchanting experience.

The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.
