Jojo was enchanted by a herd of frolicking elephants on an early morning drive through the Botswana bush. Many years have passed since then, but travel has never ceased to amaze her.
Following a diploma in Hospitality Management and many years in the events industry, Jojo decided to follow her heart and get a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development with Peace Corps service. In 2013, she was invited to work in Botswana for two years as a Local Government Capacity Builder with the Tonota community, which allowed her to experience the continent from up close. She has also traveled extensively in Asia, earning insights into these incredible continents, their people and culture. It’s her interest in experiencing the unusual and her love for discovering new destinations that ultimately led her to the travel and tourism industry. For Jojo, working for Enchanting Travels since 2017 has been a dream come true, from turning guests’ travel dreams into reality to helping us build the best product offerings.
When she isn’t planning or dreaming of travel, Jojo enjoys spending time with her loved ones in the beautiful outdoors of Colorado, USA. Her spare time is filled with hiking, yoga, delicious food and fine wine.
MOST ENCHANTING TRAVEL
One of the most enchanting experiences of my life was an early morning self-drive through the Moremi Game Reserve in the Botswana bush in Africa. My most endearing memory from the drive is sighting a herd comprising dozens of elephants frolicking in a waterhole. We were left amazed by their sheer size and graceful movement. I took some stunning pictures of the herd, but they don’t do justice to the beauty of the animals. You have to see them in their natural habitat to experience their magnificence.
It is better to look back at life and say “I can’t believe I did that,” rather than to look back and say “I wish I’d done that.”
