It was on a road trip to Mexico in her teens that Katie discovered her love for travel and she hasn’t stopped since! Her personal journeys have led her all over the world – from a semester in Buenos aires to solo hikes in Chile, and camping adventures around the US to a pilgrimage trail across Spain. She continues to pursue her passion till date, traveling as far and as much as possible, and often living vicariously through her guests’ travel experiences!
Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a Minor in Business from the University of Colorado, Katie has worked extensively in the hospitality industry since she was 15, and gained a keen understanding of what can truly elevate her guests’ experiences. When she isn’t busy tailoring trips to her guests interests, she enjoys reading historical fiction, hanging out with her tireless labrador Brody (preferably outdoors), and occasionally escaping to the seaside.
MOST ENCHANTING TRAVEL
I adore traveling; it gives me total freedom and a renewed sense of wonder. My most enchanting travel experiences have been in Brazil. Brazil feels electric – like it has a pulse. I took my first surfing lesson there, explored islands and small beach towns, got to know the community, and learned dancing to the beat of cumbia. It is a beautiful, vibrant country that I look forward to visiting again and again.
There is always something that doesn’t go as planned. Embrace it – that’s when the traveling begins!
