Koen Peeters is no stranger to travel. Having lived in Amsterdam, Leeds, Munich and Mexico, where he is currently based, he is as passionate about working in the travel sector as he is about planning new trips and delving deeper into new cultures. When Koen is not busy plotting his next big vacation, he enjoys watching soccer and NBA basketball. He is always looking for ways to improve his skills, be it tennis or photography and he’s up for tacos and a cold beer anytime! Koen dreams of going on a safari vacation to South Africa, and trying his hand at some wildlife photography. A self-professed Latin America aficionado, a culinary tour of Peru is high on his wishlist, and he looks forward to basking in the country’s natural beauty.
MOST ENCHANTING TRAVEL
Last year, my girlfriend and I (and our little dog) drove from Monterrey (Northern Mexico) all the way to the most southeastern point of Mexico, right at the border with Belize – a whopping 10,000 km in total! We swam with manatees in mangroves and had the time of our lives. Another memorable experience dates back to ten years, when I decided to backpack solo from California to Colombia, by land and sea, in an attempt to avoid air travel. I traveled across Central America and relied entirely on public transport.
